Ensete Maurelli

Ensete Maurelli belongs to the Musaceae and is a banana plant with a special color of leaves. Because of the red color of the leaves, this plant is also called Red Banana. Ensete Maurelli
Care tips

The Ensete Ventricosum maurelli requires a lot of water and fertilization during the summer months from April to September, which certainly benefits its growth. Both in pots and in the open ground it does fine provided it has sufficient warmth, water and nutrients. Over-fertilizing is therefore practically impossible. However, opinions and experiences are divided as to whether it is the sun or the shade that causes the red color. The maurelli has a remarkably small root system and can therefore remain in a relatively small pot. However, because its large leaves catch a lot of wind, a larger or heavy pot is strongly recommended. Ensete ventricosum 'maurelli' is not hardy.

Eucomis
