Cyclamen
Cyclamen have been well-known houseplants for many years and have a long history. They are known for their long flowering period and enormous zest for life. Our 'Happy Moments' Cyclamen originate from Japan. This because of the unique color combination and beautiful range of flowers formed by the extra strong leaves of the Cyclamen. The flower colors come from the color palette of cherries. In Japanese culture, cherry blossoms and the color range of this blossom are very important. The flowering of the cherry blossom also known as Sakura is closely watched. As soon as the flowers are visible again after a cold winter, the Japanese also come out again. They visit parks and temples and can watch the flowering cherry trees until late at night. For this, they even have a word in Japanese "Hamini. About 10 years ago, this type of Cyclamen was brought to the Netherlands for further breeding here. As a result, the Cyclamen fits into our modern and sustainable cultivation method. Through close cooperation with the breeder, we are the exclusive grower of this type of Cyclamen. Our 'Happy Moments' Cyclamen are unique and is the ideal gift in late winter and early spring.
Care tips
The Cyclamen prefers to absorb water on its own time. Leave the plant in its growing pot and place it in a ceramic pot or put it on a saucer. Fill the pot or dish regularly with a layer of water. It is even better to dip the Cyclamen for half an hour every week and then let it drain. Do not place the Cyclamen above the heater or in full sun, Cyclamen prefer a cooler place than a warm place.
Care tips
In the fall, we also sell cyclamen for outdoors. The care is almost the same as the indoor variety. Make sure the potting soil stays moist, if possible put the bowl, in which the cyclamen is grown, on a saucer. Fill the pot or dish regularly with a layer of water. Cyclamen can overcome some cold, but not severe frost. A colorful plant for autumn!
